The Black Market‘a mission is to assist in closing the wealth gap in Minnesota and increase the development of black economics by providing a unique experience where community may eat, shop, gather and learn about the multitude of services and products available from the black community.
The Black Market was founded in February 2021, by George Shannon, owner of 4Seen Media, and, business partner, DeSeandra “Seanie” Sheppheard, owner of mnblacklist.com
In February, 2022 DeSeandra became sole owner/operator of The Black Market.
In August of 2021, The Black Market acquired The Black Business Is Beautiful, a Marketplace for BIPOC business-owners, with a mission to increase non-BIPOC engagement and spending.
